Rose of the Month-  January 2007

Touch of Class

Photo- Dave Candler

This is a must-have rose, for hybrid tea lovers in New England.  It does wonderfully in the garden, is hardy in our winters, and is beautiful on the exhibition table due to its remarkable (and repeatable) form.
Some details:

Plant height 4-5 ft., blossom about 5" wide, blooms well all season, only a slight fragrance, and above average in disease resistance for a coral-pink hybtid tea.

The benefits for exhibition include maintaining a good center for an extended period, long stems with, generally, one bloom per stem, and dark green foliage that contrast well with the bloom.
