Rose of the Month-  Feburary 2006
S. Carr

"About Face"
Grandiflora
2005 AARS Winner

WOW the color of this rose is unbelievable! The yellow on the inside of the petal and the red/orange of the outer side (reverse) is remnant of a fire flame, a glow from within. Absolutely gorgeous. It was constantly blooming, never looked "messy" even with older blooms. Disease resistance was very good because while powdery mildew was present in the bed this rose was unaffected. It grew about 4 feet tall and about 3 feet wide. It is a double with a tendency to ball. The foliage was beautiful. All that being said this was only it's first year in my garden and it could do wonderful things on the show table along or in a Hi-Lo challenge with Hot Tamale!
