Holiday Gift Ideas for 2005:

    2006 Rose Calendar (see magazine American Rose)
    Weekend of Convention Fun at the District Convention planned and organized by the Lower Cape Rose Society.  You will all receive a mailing in December with all the details, and they will be published in the Yankee District Newsletter about the end of the year. Dates 17-19 March 2006. Plan the weekend and give as a gift.  Even more fun if you get a group to attend as well.
    Pictures of a nice rose along with the family group shots in Holiday Cards .
    Gift certificate for roses from your local garden store.
    Really nice bypass pruners or loppers if not already owned (e.g. Felco, Fiskars...)
    Thin, but tough, rose garden gloves to avoid prickle injuries

        A particularly well written and thorough book is "Showing Good Roses" by Robert Martin, Jr. which covers much more than exhibiting. Contact the Webmaster for link to purchase.

    Authorization for your spouse to remove/ have removed several large trees that over the years have grown big and full- but now shade the rose garden
