Hi Dave,
Nor'East
Miniature Roses is introducing 9 new roses. I hope this link will take you
directly to the page.http://www.noreast-miniroses.com/bin/nemr?category=new4year&pagenum=0&cid=1199370113.6124
I have been told that Mike Williams' Adisto is the best of the bunch for
growing. Adisto, Power Point, Lady Bren and Show Stopper should all be top
contenders on the show table, however the unique coloring of Adisto and Show
Stopper may be more apt to capture the judges eyes.
Another show
rose, SunSwept from Frank Benardella, has already been winning at rose shows
on the west coast. We hope it will have as good a winning form here. It
does for Frank in NJ. It's a vibrant golden yellow with red flushing along
the edges.
![]() My personal favorite is Tyrelle, which is a sport of Jeanne LaJoie. It was discovered by Jan Staedler in Wisconsin, where it has proven itself to be a very hardy and vigorous miniature climber (or shrub) rose, displaying clusters of white flowers and very well suited to the bitter cold winters. It grows to 10 feet tall with no winter die-back.
This spring,
BIll is planning to introduce 3 more of Frank's roses which are yet to be
named as well as Dave Berg's rose, Oxbow. I understand Oxbow has
been winning at area rose shows. It's wonderful that it should be available
across the country soon.
Hope this
information is helpful.
